PDP Employees Give Back Through Successful Blood Donation Drive

Phelps Dodge Philippines once again demonstrated its commitment to community service through a successful bloodletting activity conducted in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross on May 12, 2026, at the company’s manufacturing plant in Tarlac.

The initiative brought together employees from across the organization in support of a shared goal—helping save lives through voluntary blood donation. A total of 44 employees participated in the activity, including 6 employees from PD and 38 employees from 4D, reflecting the continued spirit of compassion and cooperation within the workplace.

Through the collective efforts of the volunteers, the activity successfully collected 44 blood bags, equivalent to 19.8 liters of blood. Each donation contributes to maintaining a stable blood supply for patients in need of emergency care, surgeries, and medical treatments requiring transfusions.
The strong turnout highlights the growing involvement of employees in programs that create a meaningful impact beyond the company. By participating in activities such as blood donation drives, employees continue to embody the values of social responsibility and community care that Phelps Dodge promotes.

This Q2 activity forms part of the company’s ongoing partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and its long-standing support for healthcare-related community initiatives. Over the years, Phelps Dodge has steadily contributed to blood donation programs, collecting:
• 77 bags (34.65 liters) in 2023
• 107 bags (48.15 liters) in 2024
• 122 bags (54.9 liters) in 2025
• 73 bags (32.85 liters) for 2026 to date

As Phelps Dodge continues its CSR efforts, the company remains committed to encouraging volunteerism, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting initiatives that help save lives.
