Phelps Dodge Philippines sponsored WorldSkills Philippines 2026 by providing electrical wires for the event’s venue requirements and the Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II competition, reflecting the company’s commitment to technical skills development and contributing to the growth of future-ready Filipino talent.

Held from September 7 to 11, 2026 at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, with the skills competition running from September 8-10, WorldSkills Philippines 2026 brought together young Filipino TVET students from across the country to demonstrate their technical and practical expertise across more than 30 industry categories. Carrying the theme of “Your Skills, Your Future,” the event aimed for the competition to serve as a national platform for showcasing and developing the seed of technical-vocational excellence in the country. 

Phelps Dodge, in support of youth development, sponsored electrical wires, including TF (single) wires, Permacord, and THHN/THWN-2 wires in various sizes and colors, which were both used for the venue’s electrical requirements and the EIM NC II competition.

For this year, the competition, including the EIM NC II, featured competitors that came from 18 regions in the Philippines. The EIM NC II competition focused on technical proficiency in electrical installation and maintenance, skills that are crucial in building the country’s construction, infrastructure, and electrical industry. By supporting this competition through sponsorship of the wiring materials, Phelps Dodge contributed to an environment where aspiring skilled professionals were provided with quality and reliable wiring materials that suited to the demands of their craft, enabling them to perform at their best.
