Employees of Phelps Dodge Philippines once again came together to support a meaningful cause. In partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, the company conducted a one-day bloodletting activity on February 7, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at its manufacturing plant in Tarlac.
The initiative aimed to turn compassion into action by encouraging the team to contribute to the blood supply that supports patients in need of lifesaving transfusions. Through the collective effort of the organization and its workforce, the activity became a meaningful way of extending care beyond the workplace and into the wider community.
A total of 29 employees participated, resulting in the collection of 29 blood bags, equivalent to 13.05 liters of blood. Each donation represents a potential lifeline for individuals undergoing medical emergencies, surgeries, or treatments requiring blood transfusions.
The strong participation reflects the deep sense of social responsibility within the Phelps Dodge community—demonstrating how collective action in the workplace can create a positive impact beyond company grounds.
This initiative is part of Phelps Dodge’s continuing support for community-centered programs. In recent years, the company has consistently contributed to blood donation efforts, collecting:
- 77 bags (34.65 liters) in 2023
- 107 bags (48.15 liters) in 2024
- 122 bags (54.9 liters) in 2025
While each year brings together different volunteers, the shared goal remains the same—helping ensure a steady and reliable blood supply for patients in need.
Through partnerships with organizations like the Philippine Red Cross, Phelps Dodge continues to uphold its commitment to promoting care, cooperation, and service to the community.
