VFD Cable

VFD Cable

Description

VFD cable is mainly used for wiring of variable frequency drive  and the variable frequency motor rated voltage up to 1 KV and below and designed to reduce VFD Drive EMI interference and electrical noise.

Application

The VFD Cable finds versatile applications in numerous industries, including but not limited to:

    • Manufacturing: Ideal for powering variable frequency drives, motors, and other critical equipment within industrial environments.
    • Oil and Gas: Suitable for applications in oil rigs, refineries, and petrochemical plants where ruggedness, flame retardancy, and resistance to harsh chemicals are essential.
    • HVAC Systems: Perfect for installations in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring efficient control and distribution of power.
    • Mining: Designed to withstand the demanding conditions of mining operations, offering reliable power transmission in underground mines, open pits, and processing plants.

Specification

  • Customer Specification: Our VFD Cable is manufactured to meet specific customer requirements, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your project needs.
  • IEC 60332: This cable complies with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60332 standard, which guarantees flame retardancy and fire safety in case of a fire.
  • ICEA S-95-658: The VFD Cable is also in compliance with the ICEA S-95-658 standard, ensuring its exceptional durability and resistance to harsh environments.

Features

Voltage Rating: With a robust voltage rating up to 600 Volta  or 1000 volts.

Temperature Rating: The VFD Cable operates seamlessly within a wide temperature range to accommodate various conditions:

  • Normal Condition: It performs reliably at temperatures up to 90°C, allowing for efficient and safe operation in typical operating environments.
  • Emergency Condition: In emergency situations, where temperatures may rise unexpectedly, this cable can withstand temperatures up to 130°C, ensuring uninterrupted performance and safeguarding against critical failures.
  • Short-Circuit Condition: The VFD Cable boasts an impressive short-circuit temperature rating of 250°C, guaranteeing optimal protection and preventing damage during short-circuit events.

Color-Coding: To facilitate easy identification and streamline installation, the VFD Cable features a distinct color-coding scheme:

  • Phase: The phase conductors are color-coded as black, white, and red, simplifying the connection process and minimizing the risk of errors.

Ground: The ground conductors in green color, promoting safety and proper grounding practices.

Construction

The VFD Cable offers two construction options to suit your specific needs and requirements:

  1. 3 Phase Conductors + 1 Ground Wire: This construction features three phase conductors and one full ground wire, crosslinked insulated XLPE  conductors  cabled , polyester tape wrapped, copper tape shield and jacketed with flame  Retardant jacket.
  2. 3 Phase Conductors + 3 Ground Wires: For applications that require enhanced grounding capabilities, this construction option includes three phase conductors and three ground wires. crosslinked insulated XLPE conductors  cabled , polyester tape wrapped, copper tape shield and jacketed with flame  retardant

The ground wires are sized at 50% to 100 % of the size of the phase conductors for low impedance path to ground/earth thus providing improved safety and electrical reliability

Cable shielding with 100 % coverage copper tape shielding material to protect from external interference, reduce electrical noise EMI/RFI and crosstalk out of the VFD Cable.
