Phelps Dodge Alumilite® Aluminum THHN/THWN-2 Building Wire is made from high-strength aluminum 8000 series alloy. Known for its high conductivity, low weight, and durability, making it an excellent choice for applications where cost-effectiveness and performance are both important considerations. Additionally, aluminum THHN/THWN-2 building wire is also flame retardant, making it a safe and reliable option for use in various environments.

Application

Ideal for cable tray installation, wire ways, open wiring, conduits, service entrance, feeders, and branch circuits for permanent installations.
Suitable for power lighting installations in residential, commercial, and industrial establishments.

Specification

Alumilite® Aluminum THHN/THWN-2 meets or exceeds all applicable ASTM specifications, requirements of the National and Philippine Electrical Code, and conforms to the following standards:
UL83 for Thermoplastic Insulated Wires and Cables (THHN/THWN-2)
UL758 for Appliance Wiring Materials (AWM)
UL1063 for Machine Tool Wire (MTW)

Features

CT Rated Lead-Free THHN/THWN cables are insulated with special PVC formulation that
makes it more flame retardant than ordinary THHN cables.
More tolerant to heat with its better flame-retardant PVC.
The insulation is made of materials that do not contain lead as a stabilizer making it
“Environment Friendly”.
Its nylon jacket offers mechanical protection and resistance to petroleum by-products, chemical reagents, and oils. It is also, abrasion-resistant, allows higher gliding and greater ease in installation. Its slippery property allows easier pulling when stripping.
Available in black, white, red, blue, green, and yellow colors.
