Phelps Dodge Philippines proudly participated in the United Professional Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (UPEEP)Professional Electrical Engineers (PEE) Forum for the Northern and Central Luzon Region, held on April 12, 2025 in Dagupan, Pangasinan. As part of our continued commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the event included a tree planting activity in partnership with UPEEP and Rotaract.
The tree-planting was held in Bugalion, Pangasinan, and involved the planting of 50 banana tree seedlings, as recommended by the Department of Agriculture. This meaningful initiative underscores Phelps Dodge’s dedication to environmental sustainability, while also strengthening relationships within the electrical engineering community.
This tree planting activity, exclusive to Phelps Dodge, is a significant step in reinforcing our company’s commitment to sustainable practices. Through collaborations with organizations such as UPEEP and Rotaract, we aim to make a lasting impact not only on the environment but also in building stronger professional and community ties.
UPEEP and Rotaract intend to institutionalize this tree-planting program as a regular endeavor. Phelps Dodge fully supports this vision, recognizing its importance in promoting ecological responsibility and further enhancing our brand as an advocate for a greener, more sustainable future.
