Sales Engineer - Luzon

Role

Promotes and sells Phelps Dodge wires and cables, achieves sales targets, and builds lasting customer relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales and Promotion:

  • Promotes and sells Phelps Dodge products to customers in the assigned area, achieving the target sales quota within the prescribed marginal income (MI).
  • Coordinates with the plant and logistics to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Engages in active relationship-building with key industry influencers to strengthen brand loyalty and increase market penetration.

Strategy and Forecasting:

  • Collaborates with the Sales Manager/Supervisor to prepare and implement sales strategies and budgets.
  • Prepares and submits monthly sales and collection forecasts.

Customer Management and Support:

  • Discusses ongoing transactions and resolves collection issues with the immediate superior.
  • Leads the resolution of customer complaints by coordinating with Technical Services and/or Logistics as necessary.
  • Prepares and submits quotations based on customers’ requirements, ensuring compliance with pricing guidelines.

Market Intelligence:

    • Monitors and reports on competitor activities and market trends.
    • Maintains detailed records of sales activities, including sales calls, customer interactions, and market insights.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of Electrical Engineering or any Engineering course.
  • At least one (1) year of significant experience in sales engineering, preferably in a manufacturing firm of electrical wire and cable products or related sales functions.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in clear and effective communication.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, proactive, handles pressure well, and adapts to changing work requirements.
