Sales Engineer (GMA)



Primary responsibility will be to promote and drive sales within one's assigned area through coordination with distributors and dealers. The role includes ensuring that distributors and dealers meet sales quotas within the prescribed performance indicators (MI) and collect payments according to approved terms.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promotes and sells Phelps Dodge products to customers in the assigned area, achieving the target sales quota within the prescribed marginal income (MI).
  • Coordinates with the plant and logistics to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Engages in active relationship-building with key industry influencers to strengthen brand loyalty and increase market penetration.
  • Collaborates with the Sales Manager/Supervisor to prepare and implement sales strategies and budgets.
  • Prepares and submits monthly sales and collection forecasts.
  • Monitors and reports on competitor activities and market trends.
  • Maintains detailed records of sales activities, including sales calls, customer interactions, and market insights.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of Electrical Engineering or any Engineering course.
  • At least one (1) year of significant experience in sales engineering, preferably in a manufacturing firm of electrical wire and cable products or related sales functions.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in clear and effective communication.
  • Experienced in business to business selling
  • Above average knowledge in key account management, selling principles, financial analysis and strategic planning
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, proactive, handles pressure well, and adapts to changing work requirements.
