Sales Assistant

Role

This position is primarily tasked to provide administrative support in the effective and efficient implementation of all operating and work activities of the Sales Team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Efficiently perform administrative functions such as organizing and maintaining files and sales orders, ensuring that records are accurately updated and complete for the assigned Sales segment.
  • Skillfully create reports, letters, and quotations as required, demonstrating very good written communication skills.
  • Effectively coordinate with customers and Credit and Collection teams, handling tasks such as managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, monitoring hold accounts, and providing updates on collection/payment status.
  • Proficiently utilize MAS 500 to book sales for the assigned Sales segment, including the preparation of additional documents as necessary (e.g., override forms, etc.).
  • Flexibly undertake any other duties assigned by the VP, Sales and Marketing, Sales Managers, or Supervisors, demonstrating adaptability and readiness to contribute to various tasks and projects.

Job Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field from a reputable University/College, showcasing their commitment to education and professional development.
  • Previous experience of at least one (1) year as sales or administrative staff within a manufacturing firm specializing in electrical wire and cable products would be highly advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with the industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, is essential, and the candidate should possess above-average knowledge and the ability to effectively utilize these tools for various tasks.
  • Very good communication skills, both written and oral, are a must, as the candidate will be required to convey information clearly and professionally.
